Montea invests 65 million euros in new Antwerp and Brussels logistics sites

Logistics real estate company Montea is investing 65 million euros in an ultramodern warehouse and office space spanning more than 55,000 square metres in the port of Antwerp, as well as in a 32,700-square-metre distribution centre in Anderlecht. The company announced the investments after market close on Tuesday.
The Antwerp site benefits from a strong multimodal location, "close to the container terminals and the major motorways", Montea said. The building has been designed with a flexible floor plan and will be constructed to high sustainability standards. Construction is set to begin next year, with completion expected in the second quarter of 2028.
In Anderlecht, the investment involves the acquisition of an existing site known as "Bolland", barely a kilometre from Brussels-South station. "Thanks to its location close to a major transport hub as well as to urban end customers, the site plays a key role in the further development of efficient last-mile distribution in and around Brussels," the company said.
Both sites are leased long-term to quality tenants, Montea said, with an average initial yield of 6.6 per cent net. The distribution centre in Anderlecht will be rented by postal operator bpost.
Montea, founded in 1977, specialises in logistics real estate in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany. The company has been part of the BEL20, the benchmark index of the Brussels stock exchange, since March 2025.
